The Alban Institute - founded in 1974 as a major resource for American congregations facing the challenges of a
changing society. Today's challenges are even more pressing than they were three decades ago, and the opportunities have
never been more clear for congregations to be vitial communities of faith, health, and leadership. Alban stands at the forefront
of knowledge and experience regarding congregational vitality and positive trends across denominations and faith traditions.
Companions in Christ - a small-group resource in spiritual formation put out by the Upper Room. The
district office can provide training for the cost of the books only; contact Betsy Caudill for details. Bi-district training for this resource will be held March 6, 2010, at
Fairlington UMC, Alexandria, from 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM.
