Apportionment Day Open House!	August 18, 8 AM-2 PM: Bi-District Office Apportionment Open House. Come and get your 2011 Apportionments! Packets must be picked up by a clergy or a member of your church authorized to do so. Packets CANNOT be mailed.
Christian Educators' Fellowship Meeting	August 26, 12:30-2:30 PM: Burke UMC (bring a bagged lunch).
Young Adults Ropes Course Outing	August 28: Join the Bi-District Young Adults for a ropes course outing at Go Ape! in Derwood, Maryland. $55 per person; contact Ashley Kent or Eric Song for more information.
United Methodist Men celebrate "100 Years of Scouting"	Sept. 11, 8-11 AM: Old Bridge UMC, Woodbridge. Rev. Ken Jackson is the guest speaker. Open to all men in both districts. Come for breakfast and to celebrate scouting! Click here for flyer.
Arlington District Clergy Retreat	Sept. 14-16, 2010, at PriestField Pastoral Center in Kearneysville, West Virginia, “Prayer and Discernment in Pastoral Leadership.”  The retreat leader will be the Rev. Marjorie J. Thompson of Nashville, TN, author of Soul Feast:  An Invitation to the Christian Spiritual Life and one of the co-authors of the Companions in Christ spiritual formation resource from Upper Room Ministries. Alexandria DS Welcome Celebration	September 19, 3 PM at St. Stephen's UMC, 9203 Braddock Road in Burke. There will be a worship service and reception to welcome Rev. Ken Jackson.
Arlington District Conference and Worship	September 25, 9-11 AM: Floris UMC, 13600 Frying Pan Road, Herndon, followed by Faith. Fire. Fruit. Pursuing Vitality in the 21st Century. This event will follow District Conference and Worship. It will include lunch and two workshops, and be finished by 3 PM. Christian Educators' Fellowship Gathering	October 7, 10 AM-2 PM: A Day Apart at the Conference Center, Glenn Allen.

Alexandria District Conference	October 16, 9:30-11:30 AM, Franconia UMC, Alexandria.

Finance Workshop	November 13, 9 AM - Noon: Springfield UMC. RSVP by November 11 for this bi-district event. For all finance chairs, stewardship chairs, church treasurers, and of course, anyone in the church interested in finances! Bi-District Retreat for Adult Workers with Youth	February 11-12, 2011, at Skycroft Conference Center, Middletown, MD: Additional details to be determined. Guest Speaker and Guide for this retreat is Steve Matthews, youth minister, consultant, coach and author. The theme is "Growing an 'Eco-System' for Youth Ministry: A Contemplative Approach"
